A dry-blend premix for atta fortification requires a different particle-size distribution than a water-dispersible form for liquid milk or fortified beverages. 3. Bioavailability yield. Equivalent IU dosing on label does not guarantee equivalent serum response at consumption. Fat content, emulsifier package, and crystalline form of the source molecule all affect absorption. Independent serum studies — not supplier in-house assays — are the reliable signal.

The trade-off is straightforward: a premium input cost against expanded market access in vegetarian and vegan segments, plus alignment with India's domestic fortification push. The next data points to track are published dosage-form specifications, shelf-life validation in fortified staples, and the per-IU price differential against lanolin-source D3 once commercial volumes are quoted.
